New York State Sumpreme Court summons, 7 May 1866, issued to James Adams, Obadiah J. Green, and Jonathan S. Buell, regarding the constitutionality of the legislative act creating the Niagara Frontier Police; and letter, 15 Aug. 1891, to George G. Barnum, corresponding secretary of the Buffalo Historical Society, regarding Barnum's request for copies of Niagara Frontier Police reports. Buell includes a history of the force and his involvement as its first police commissioner.
